Start Ponte di Legno 1250m - S300 - 2621m Passo Gavia - Bormio 1210m we take the S36 main road south & finish on route to the start of the next ride at La Prese.
Route information
Starts in the village of Ponte di Legno 1250m where after a little descent proceed up the 17km 2621m Passo Gavia. This hard climb is famous for the 1988 Giro stage won by American Andy Hampsten in terrible bitterly cold weather which led to him winning the entire race. The climb has some extremely steep sections for such a long climb. After a dark Tunnel during the last 2km you come out into roads flanked with deep snow on either side . The descent along a scienic Valley which passes the famous village of Bormio 1210m we take the main road south & finish on route to the start of the next ride.

Route information
Starting in Forno Allione 450m you start the of long climb of Passo Vivione 1828m .This climb is similar to Mortirolo with very narrow streets and is almost all in the shade but not too hard in the first 13 km. Last 7 km from Baita Capriolo 1200m to Passo Vivione1828m are hard until you arrive in a beautiful valley. After the tortuous descent the route arrives in Schilpario 1200m and continues with 2 little climbs to Vilminore1200m & Vilmaggiore1100m in Valle Scalve until Dezzo di Scalve 750m where you start the short but hard climb of Passo Presolana 1297m. This climb different from Mortirolo & Vivione with wider roads and after 2 km of descent finish the stage with a left turn in little village of Presolana.
